Education is a broad word. For one to be truly educated they must have a broad knowledge of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual knowledge. As the economy crashed in 2008 budgets in schools began to shrink. As the budgets sank so did the Art programs within schools. Art both in the form of performing arts and visual arts are vital to one's education and the growth of the creative way of thinking so lost in our society. The lack of art requirements in our education system is contributing to the depletion of original thought, confidence in one's stance on political and moral issues and drive to pursue excellence. Visual art continues to take precedence in our school systems. Performing arts have withered away. Performing arts such as acting, musical theatre, band, choir and dance have been the main source ridicule over the years. Education has been labeled as the act of reading, writing and testing, however education is so much more. I talk from personal experience.
Without the involvement of performing arts in my education i would not be the person I am or the woman I strive to be. At the age of twelve I began getting involved in theatre. Without Faith Christians award winning theatre program and curriculum i would still be a tremendously shy individual and would lack much of the confidence i stand with behind my moral and political views. Learning the ability to speak in front of a crowd of people without an ounce of nerves propells an indvidual to leadership. Without leadership in our world our economy, political system and society begins to weaken.
Often performing arts are looked at for simply a tool to learn the task of public speaking. I believe the creativity involved requires so much more. Acting is the art of encompassing the essence of humanity. In order for true humanity to be encompassed, the student must learn and study human behavior. This requires learning the value of what you speak and how it effects those around you, studying how people to respond to circumstances, and how ones past may have influence their present choices. Sounds like psychology? It is! An acting class is a psychology class in action and put into practice. if we were to compare this to sports a psychology class would be sitting in the locker room discussing the game plan, therefore acting would be that game plan put into action. Is this not sounding like civics and Econ? Okay lets put it this way, remember those Yale students protesting against the Dean for the halloween costumes? Okay i want you to imagine if that generation was required to take not only a visual arts class but a performing arts class as well. A class were they learned how to see the perspective the Dean held. A class were they learned that crying and whining does not put off a well thought out point in case. By being involved in acting classes students learn ways to communicate their ideas without being overdramatic and frankly without acting insane. Maybe if they were given the opportunity to be put in intense emotional scenes studying the real life trauma people have faced, safety rooms and puppies wouldn't be needed when they felt triggered by something their professor said. Studying the behavior of other individuals puts into perspective the vitality, or lack of, in your own behavior.
As an actor I've been taught how to convey the emotion i want the audience to see in me. Our generation and the generation ahead of me has lost the ability to convey what they want others to see in them. Look at our politicians. Hillary wanted more than anything to give off a warm persona to her spectators. This was seen as fake and unrealistic as each of the three debates pressed along. However Donald Trump admitted after the election was over that his vulgar, blunt, over-the-top persona he gave off during his campaign was a tactic used in order for a non-politican to gain that spotlight needed for a successful campaign. Who had more time in the entertainment industry and studied acting?, Donald Trump. He knew what the people wanted, he knew what persona he needed to put on and he knew how to convey that to his audience.
Now I'm not saying we should raise a generation of Trumps but i am saying what he did worked, and i know it worked because he is now the President of the most power-ful nation on earth. Still think I'm wrong about Donald Trump using this tactic? Take a look at his persona presently. The change is drastic with more humble approach.
Common sense has been lost in our generation. Common sense is the idea of human essence and how the brain should naturally respond to circumstances. How do we incorporate this back into our school systems? Through the requirement of performing arts. Many high schools across the nation do not offer pyschology classes, however offer acting classes which can have just as much, if not more benefit to the student. The study of Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde and even Lin Manuel-Miranda teaches the students the essence of superior writing, along with the challenge of encompassing the characters throughout the classic literature. Therefore resulting in a better understanding of the piece.
I am going into the entertainment industry because i believe it's the most influential industry on this earth. Just look at the media's influence in the election. Christians are often scared of this industry as a career because of the amount of secular beliefs and liberal moral views. You know why the industry is majorly liberal? Because Christians are too scared and weak of going in and standing firm in their beliefs. If we as Christians are here to spread the gospel why not do it through the most influential industry known to mankind? We were not put here to stay with in our safety zone. This is my way of making a difference before i die. I want to teach performing arts and their importance in our society. During World War 2 Hitler attacked and stole the arts within the country's he took over. Actors and performers were killed, paintings and sculptors were stolen because he believed that if you could destroy a cultures art you yet could destroy the nation itself. Art is valuable in expanding the brain, personality, intelligence and critical thinking. That is why i believe that 1 year of performing arts need to be a requirement throughout our school systems.

Millennia's response to the Presidental election
The transition of peace so highly acclaimed in our nation has been betrayed. This betrayal has occurred not by the leaders to whom competed in the most gruesome campaign of all time, but rather by the very people who make up the soul of our nation. In the third presidential debate Donald Trump was asked, "Will you respect the traditional peaceful transfer of power if you loose the election?". Trump responded that he would not concede and would investigate if the election was rigged. Liberals everywhere we're astonished and began to proclaim that Trump was "not patriotic" a "disgrace to the country" and so on. Little did the nation know that the media's influence had reached a peak in our nation. As a collective group of citizens we had begun to believe whatever the media was feeding to us. The present day media consists of a majority of liberals, naturally-talk shows, radio, news stations, the debates and social media gave off the vibe that Hillary was plunging towards her "long awaited" spot in the White House. The people were fooled into believing that Hillary was taking the campaign. Did this stop the American people from going out and voting? No. Did this stop the American people from proclaiming their rights? No. The American people still have what it takes. Our patriotism may be fleeting, but as a millennial on November 8th 2016 I was given hope that we still have the same spark that ignited the birth of our nation.
With these encouraging words said I must point out the irony within the election results. Trump is president. He will not protest against the results, it will be the people protesting the 2016 election. A peaceful transition of power so longed for by the nation no less than a week ago has been put on the back burner. It is now the people standing in their own way of what they once desired. Trump was not allowed to protest if Hillary won but liberals everywhere must have the right to tear down the beliefs of Republicans, Trump supporters and conservatives.
I was unable to find an article to base this blog off of. I wanted an article accurately describing both party's equally. Over the last week I have been given the opportunity to observe the millennial generation respond to this election. Not millennials from my school, town, church or even state but rather millennials from across the nation. Over this summer I spent 21/2 weeks in Hollywood at an acting conservatory. There I met 20 other actors my age with whom I've been in a group chat with since July. After the election my phone blew up with responses concerning our new president from the view point of all religions, races, states and sexes. I believe the messages in the group chat were more valuable to write on than any article because it is realistic, truthful and a beautiful example of my generation. (Below is posted the images of the convo)
Obviously there has been no peaceful transfer of power. It can be observed that my generation expects their beliefs to be validated with whomever they are proclaimed to. When things don't go their way they cannot have a respect for the views of their opposing partner. The "love" so uplifted is expected to be shown to everyone except Trump or his supporters. My generation relies too heavily on the government and political figures to make our nation what they want it to be. Therefore when their party doesn't win the election the world is over and a peaceful transition of peace is impossible.
Although my generation spends every waking hour preparing for the SAT and trying to get into Ivy league schools I fear they may have neglected to learn the history of our founding fathers. They call Donald Trump racist? Thomas Jefferson owned hundreds of slaves and believed whole-heartedly in slavery in the south. Christians everywhere proclaim Mr. Trump's affairs with women are utterly disgraceful, and frankly I agree, however, did you know that Alexander Hamilton had an affair on his wife and paid the adulteresses husband in order to keep him from blackmailing Hamilton? Trump has no excuses for his behavior but we must not stoop to the level of allowing his poor morals to dictate our poor citizenship and behavior towards our neighbors.
The world is longing for love. From "love wins" to "love makes the world go round". The love they desire can only be found in Christ's love. However without Christ this love can't be accomplished. So therefore, the love translated is a one-sided selfish love resulting in even more world conflict. It's a love of oppression, a love that has been sugar coated and made into what each individual wants for themselves, in order to feel more confident in the wrong decisions that prick their conscious.
The idea of the "safety pins" (as talked about in the last message) blows my mind. My generation expects a dissolvement of the conscious. A desensitivity to difference. People have become so insecure in their lifestyle choices they need the support of everyone else in the nation wearing a "safety pin" in order to feel comfortable in their own skin and with their lifestyle. No wonder they are so terrified our new President.
The nation continues to be in outrage and riot like never seen before. So what is our duty as citizens? Our duty is to respect the transfer of power. The people are outraged about our new president, as if the nations fate relied on the shoulders of Donald Trump, what they fail to recognize is the aspect of of of Constitution. Our fate does not rely on Donald Trump our fate lies in the hands of you and me, this is what the founding fathers prepared for hundreds of years go. The riots are annoying, the endless complaints from liberals make me wanna shank someone but everyday i get to wake up in a country free to do so. Talk about Christian persecution, now more than ever it is more relevant. I was scared to state my opinion in that group chat for fear of being murdered by text messages. To be honest, i don't feel safe. I can't voice my opinions. Am i going to wear a "safety pin"? No. Am i going to voice my opinions? Well, i'm going to try but it's going to be VERY VERY hard, now more than ever. WOW college is gonna be scary.

A nation founded on freedom of choice, NOT rights
Ten minutes was left. Ten minutes to read through my blog one last time and make some last minute changes. Thats when i asked myself what rights do we have? You see as the Bible teaches us humanity does NOT have rights. We are NOT entitled to anything. Throughout history humanity has spent their time questioning and battling for their rights. No document was ever made lining out each individuals rights until the Constitution. The Constitution was the first attempt at defining the rights we have as humans. Our nation was the first nation to claim rights. But how did a nation based off the Bible (never stating that we are entitled to any rights) become the first nation to claim rights through democracy? No one can define the rights we have as humans, yet America did it. This is the very question prolonging the submission of my blog. How could a nation based on rights be founded by a religion against humans having rights.
I believe our God gave us the gift of choice. He did not give Eve the RIGHT to eat the fruit, rather he gave her the choice. A choice comes with consequences, whether be good or bad. Our nation isn't a nation founded on rights, we are a nation founded on the freedom of choice. Yes, all choices come with a price. A price the rest of the world awaits patiently in this upcoming election.
The democracy in America can be perfectly described through the analogy of a marriage. The work, effort and victory must go both ways in order to be successful. If the people's marriage/relationship with democracy and the country is not stable it will not attract the rest of the world. Just as non-believers watch Christians, waiting for a slip up, the rest of the world watches America waiting for a slip up. In all reality other nations don't realize that much like Christianity is based on us being sinners and accepting our need for Christ, democracy is messy and we need those mistakes to draw us closer as a nation and constantly reevaluate what we want.
In current times the American people have begun to rely on the government and those placed in higher power instead of taking the power upon themselves. Democracy has become based on one man rather than the mass majority. Therefore when one man fails us democracy appears weak compared to the "stronger" leaders in monarchy or communist nations.
Our modern day democracy is arising doubt in the minds of other nations because of the fact it is failing to be a true democracy, the democracy it was meant to be. The modern society of Christians have fallen into the trap of "God knows whats best so he will make that happen i just need to trust in him". This is false, these are the lies being spread around our society creating lazy Christians and Americans. If we all have the motto of "God will make happen what needs to happen" our nation will fail.
The founding fathers were not the laid back follow the Bible and God will take care of the rest people. The founding fathers were rugged scoundrels rebelling against their leaders and King. I want you to imagine one peaceful day you get home from work or school and hear a knock on your door. It's your co-worker and they want you to grab your guns leave your family and rebel against the government. You have a choice, stay with your family and avoid conflict or march into the Capital (guns and all) and protest for your rights. The "average" American citizen would shut the door and tell them their crazy. These "crazy" folks were our founding fathers. They were not white collar elite members of society they were passionate men meeting in bars and flying on a whim and giving their all for what THEY believed was right, not what OTHERS believed was right. It's time to rise up. While so many of us dread this election we continue to do nothing about it. If our founding fathers
were here today they would not take it!
If each nation in the world represented a student in a classroom, America would be the genius. Everyone is sceptic. Waiting for that student to get a B. Rejoicing when they miss a question on the test, and longing for the day they might get a better grade. Every imperfection in this student draws attention. The world turned upside down the day that we gave birth to a brand new form of government, and not just a form a government, a new ideology behind humanity. Why would they stay so tuned into our nation if they didn't have a small glimmer of hope that we were doing the right thing?
Throughout the articals provided we can observe other nations such as China continue to rise up economically, we must realize this is a consequence of our choice to be a democracy. We may not always be the most powerful because of the poor choices we have made but overall it's the freedom to make those choices that makes us what we are. Our political choices (such as the upcoming election) do not and should not effect our ability to change the world and claim democracy.
